From Alyson, our Director:
Construction at FCPL is complete! After five months of tearing down and building back up, FCPL has added several hundred square feet of public space. We removed the wall between the former police department and the library, fixed the floor, walls, and ceiling, painted, and moved storage and staff rooms to a new private area. As a result, the children/youth section has expanded dramatically. A special thanks to the many volunteers who shared their enthusiasm and expertise in order to help us accomplish all of this work!
The new space will allow us to comfortably implement new activities, such as our grant-funded plan to provide services to young children on the autism spectrum and their caregivers. Thank you for your patience while we remodeled, and stay tuned for additional reorganization as we settle in.
Please join us on Saturday, April 7 10:00-noon for an Open House. Details to follow.
